IMPORTANT 2021 SESSION DATES 2021 Interim Committee Meeting Schedule Monday, January 11 – Friday, January 15, 2021 Monday, January 25 – Friday, January 29, 2021 Monday, February 1 – Friday, February 5, 2021 Monday, February 8 – Friday, February 12, 2021 Monday, February 15 – Friday, February 19, 2021 The 2021 Legislative Session will convene on: Tuesday, March 2, 2021 and end on Friday, April 30, 2021 2021 LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES • Support continued funding for VISIT FLORIDA. • Support the preservation of the intended use of Tourism Development Taxes (Bed Taxes). • Oppose any legislation that would restrict the responsible stewardship of animals in human care. • Eliminate the state sales tax that Florida business owners pay on their commercial leases. • Support the protection and restoration of Florida’s water resources to ensure the availability of potable water in our aquifers for drinking and in lakes, rivers, springs, swamps and beaches for recreational use. • Oppose any additional regulation being added to the statutes relating to the regulation of rides within attractions and amusement parks. • Oppose the expansion of gambling. • Support the continued preservation of Florida’s historic, natural and culture artifacts and sites. • Support the prohibition of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in public lodging establishments and public food service establishments.
