Team Pac-10 Overall Bruins Enjoy Summer Trip to Australia — The Bruins spent June 24-July 2, 2005 in Stanford 17-1 32-3 Australia. The team was based in Sydney, Australia from June 24-June 29 and defeated Arizona State 12-6 24-10 the Sutherland Sharks 87-57 on June 25. Noelle Quinn and Lisa Willis tied for scoring Oregon 12-6 21-10 honors with 22 points each. Consuelo Lezcano chipped in with 14. The Bruins rallied USC 12-6 20-11 back to defeat the Australian Junior National Team on June 27, 91-89 in overtime. Willis Arizona 11-7 20-12 led UCLA with 34 points. Quinn added 17 points, and Nikki Blue scored 15, including the UCLA 10-8 16-12 game-tying shot at the end of regulation and the first seven points in overtime. UCLA Washington 9-9 14-16 defeated Bankstown BBC, 83-70, on June 28. Willis topped the Bruins with 21 points. California 4-14 11-18 Lindsey Pluimer totaled 19 points, and Quinn had 16. The team arrived in Cairns, Washington St. 2-16 6-22 Australia on June 29 and lost an 81-72 decision to the Townsville Fire on June 30.
