Delivering Citizen Services through KMC Mobile App The IT team at Kolkata Municipal Corporation has developed a Mobile Application named KMCApp, for Android handsets. The KMCApp may be available for free download and installation in individual mobile devices from KMC web portal and from Google Play Store as well. This Mobile App was inaugurated by Smt. Mamata Banerjee, Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal on 2nd March, 2015 in a function held in the Hindu Burial Ground. The function was presided over by Sri Sovan Chatterjee, Hon'ble Mayor, Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Sri Subrata Mukherjee (Minister-in-Charge of Public Health Engineering and Panchayat & Rural Development, GoWB), Janab Javed Ahmed Khan (Minister-in-Charge of Disaster Management, Fire & Emergency Services and Civil Defence, GoWB), Janab Firhad Hakim (Minister-in-Charge of Municipal Affairs and Urban Development, GoWB), Sri Surajit Kar Purakayastha (Commissioner of Police, Kolkata) were the Hon'ble invitees in the function along with Begum Farzana Alam (Deputy Mayor, KMC), Sri Debasish Kumar (Member, Mayor-in-Council, KMC), Sri Atin Ghosh (Member, Mayor-in-Council, KMC), Sri Debabrata Majumder (Member, Mayor-in-Council, KMC), and Councilors of Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
