Teen Outreach Program Presents: Teen Vision 2020 INSPIRED BY GREAT ARTISTS Enter ***Follow the links on the bottom to move between rooms. Click on the artwork to enlarge and learn more about it.*** The teens have worked diligently over the past 6 months to create pieces for this art exhibition. They have studied the works of five amazing artists: George Seurat, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Pablo Picasso, and Kehinde Wiley. With inspiration from these artists the teens have created art focused on three art categories: Pointillism, Pop Art, and Cubism. CUBISM Cubism was first started by the amazing Pablo Picasso. Unlike the other art of its time, Cubism is a style of art that shows multiple viewpoints and has aspects of cubes or geometrical shapes. The teens have demonstrated their mastery of cubism with the use of self portraits and crayons. Pointillism is an art technique that uses small distinct dots to form an image. The technique does not require mixing colors, therefore, pointillism focuses on the optical illusion of the color theory The teens have demonstrated their mastery of pointillism with the use of Q-tips, Paint, and markers.
