James William Lambuth Was a Methodist Missionary to China and Japan from the Mississippi Conference

His son, Walter Russell Lambuth, was a Methodist missionary to Japan, Korea, and the Belgian Congo from the Mississippi Conference, General Conference Missionary Secretary, and was later elected Bishop. The Lambuths established schools in Japan and had four generations of Methodist missionaries on foreign soil. David Campbell Kelley was a Methodist missionary to China from the Tennessee Conference. W.R. Lambuth married the daughter of D.C. Kelley, Daisy Kelley Lambuth.
