Acquisition Information Gift of Trudy McVicker, 1987 Biography Errol Flynn (1909-1959) was an Australian-born actor active in film from 1933 to 1959. Known for his swashbuckler roles, Flynn starred in a number of adventure films for Warner Bros., including THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD (1938). Trudy McVicker, a fan of Flynn's and collector of Flynn memorabilia, began researching the actor in 1980 in an effort to refute allegations that he was a Nazi spy during World War II. McVicker? interest in Flynn dates back to the late 1940s when she was a teenager; she was a resident of Illinois.
