C O N T E N T S The virtual graduation is called, "Show Me Your Walk, HBCU Edition." It will be a 2-hour virtual HBCU commencement program presented by Chase in partnership with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, CLASS OF 2020 • P. 2 the United Negro College Fund, the National Association for Equal Opportunity, the National Basketball Association, Paul Quinn College, Howard CLASS OF 2020 CON'T P. 3 University and JPMorgan Chase's Advancing Black Pathways Initiative, according to the former president's office. It will be live-stream on May 16 at 2 p.m. ET. These Seniors have completed all the requirements for the respective degrees. And the degrees will be conferred on August 8, 2020, at 10 a.m. in the Garrick-Boykin Human Development Center, on the campus of Morris College, pending the authorization of the Morris College Board of Trustees. With increased COVID-19 testing the number of confirmed cases will increase, and the need for more contact tracing will also. Contact tracers track down people with a potentially contagious disease. The contact tracer can alert that person, who may not know they’ve been in contact with a corona virus patient, that they should self-quarantine and get tested. Currently, SCDHEC states that there are 230 contact tracers in South Carolina, and they’re in the process of identifying another 770, for a total of 1,000 contact tracers in the state.
