TITLE The League shall be called “The Mid-Wessex Cricket League”, hereinafter called, “the League”. 2. OBJECT The object of the League is to provide competitive cricket within the Yeovil area. 3. MEMBERSHIP To qualify to play league cricket, all clubs have to be affiliated to their own County Cricket Association. Membership of the League shall be open to affiliated League Member Clubs and any affiliated club within a twenty mile radius of Yeovil Town centre whose application is accepted by the Management Committee. The Committee may at their discretion accept entries from teams marginally outside this area. Applications and confirmation of re-entry MUST be received by the Committee by 30th September each year. Acceptance of the Competition rules in full will be a condition of membership. Clubs failing to comply with the general standards of the League may be denied re-entry or be required to give written assurances to the League as appropriate. 4. MANAGEMENT (a) The President, having been agreed, will be invited annually to continue in his honorary position. (b) The Officers of the League shall be the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Hon. (c) The control of the League shall be vested in the Management Committee which shall consist of all the officers of the League. Powers to co-opt additional members as and when required will be vested in this committee. The Chairman of the Committee shall have a casting vote. The Committee shall be empowered to form sub-committees to perform specific functions as required. (d) At the Annual General Meeting and at Extraordinary General Meetings, only those clubs represented in the League in the previous or current season shall be entitled to vote. Each Club shall have one vote. (e) An Extraordinary General Meeting must be called within 21 days of receipt by the Hon.
