Biographical / Historical Henry Sandwith Drinker (1880-1965) was a lawyer and amateur musicologist in Pennsylvania. Cecilia Beaux was his mother's sister. Drinker worked on The Paintings and Drawings of Cecilia Beaux (Philadelphia: Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, 1955), a catalogue raisonne of his aunt's work. Cecilia Beaux (1855-1942) was a painter and art instructor in Philadelphia, New York, and Gloucester, Massachusetts. Born in Philadelphia, Beaux studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she later taught. She also studied under William Sartain and at the Académie Julian in Paris.
