If you would like to walk the complete Keinton Church circuit taking in the 4 Churches, or a section of the walk, to call in at any of the 18th - 19th Sept churches during the day or just attend the service in Barton at the end of the walk, it Try out Sample new chairs! will be lovely to see you. (See page 3) We suggest you bring a picnic lunch to eat at the halfway stage in Keinton. Keinton Church Route and Starfng Point 19th Sept Setting off from Barton St David Church at 10:30am, the walk will head east to St Benefice Harvest Fesfval Peter’s, Lydford and then up to St Mary Magdalene, Keinton Mandeville, before the Lunch in Village Hall route goes across the ields and a green lane to the Church of All Saints, Kingweston. (See back page booking form) There is then a gentle route downhill back to Barton, where the day’s walking will end with a Praise Service at 15:30pm. Join at any point of the walk Somerton Bee Keepers Anyone wishing to join friends and members of the four parishes on any length of the Show walk will be warmly welcomed and we hope particularly that many families will join Crah & Farmers Market in. If the walk in 2019 is anything to go by, it will be a fun day, full of fellowship and Keinton Village Hall fresh air. For those who complete the circle, the distance is about 8 miles [12km] of easy to moderate going although, if it is or has been wet, the ground could be very 18th Sept. 1 - 5pm muddy in places. (see page 13) Entry Fee – Charity Sponsorship opportunity There is an entry fee of £1, and it is suggested that walkers, particularly any young Big Breakfast Update people taking part, might like to get sponsorship and raise money for their favourite Fundraising Campaign charity, or for the Beneice. It is also Ride and Stride Sunday, so walkers could raise (see page 7) money for Somerset Church's and Chapels. Route Cards Somerset Art Works Route cards will be available on the day and the route will be indicated by arrows at important junctions. There will be people walking who know the way across the Julia Manning ields and along the footpaths. Open Studio Dogs on leads will be welcome with the usual request to observe dog-walking 18th Sept - 3rd Oct etiquette, the countryside code and to respect non-dog lovers! (see page 7) Limited cloakroom facilities will be available in all the churches. Come and explore local footpaths, walk with 4 Churches Walk friends, your community group, family or others. The past two years have reintroduced many of us to walking and this may be a good way to %ind some new 19@A Sept 8:30 am Holy Communion Barton St David routes, make some new friends and explore the communities in which we live. The following week, September 19NO we come together again for Harvest, in Harvest 11:00 am Benefice Harvest Keinton Mandeville Keinton Church followed by a harvest lunch in Keinton Village Hall, once again all Fesfval followed by lunch in Village Hall are welcome and details are in the magazine.
