Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown that he could be sent to state prison if he violated any terms of his sentence, including an order to stay 100 yards away from Rihanna unless they’re at- tending music industry events. A Los Angeles police detec- tive described a brutal attack in a search warrant affidavit filed in the case, stating Brown hit, choked and bit Rihanna and tried at one point to push her from his rental car. CMA Awards hosts NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will return as co-hosts of the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville this fall. The CMA said Tuesday that both singers possess the humor and timing needed to host the three-hour show, which airs live on ABC Nov. 11. The pair, two of country’s most popular young stars, host- ed for the first time last year. The host slot has been some- thing of a revolving door since the affable Vince Gill ended a 12-year run in 2003. Brooks & Dunn hosted from 2004 to 2006, and in 2007 the CMA ex- perimented with no host as art- ists presided over segments. But beyond acknowledging its plans for a series, A&E fur- nished no details. No premiere date or number of episodes has been specified. The original special, which the cable channel announced last May, focuses on brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon Jack- son as they prepare to reunite for a concert tour. Initial filming wrapped in June before the death of Michael Jackson, but he didn’t partici- pate in the production, said a network spokesman. ‘Woman of the Year’ NEW YORK (AP) — The year’s not even over, but Billboard al- ready knows who its woman of the year is — Beyoncé. The superstar will be honored by the industry publication at its annual Women in Music event. Past honorees were Ciara and Reba McEntire. Beyoncé will be on hand to accept her award at the Oct. 2 event in New York City. It’s been yet another big year for the en- tertainer. She had the smash hit “Single Ladies,” sang at Presi- dent Obama’s inauguration, had a No. 1 movie with “Obsessed” and embarked on an arena tour..
