Children and Family Centres Coronavirus (COVID-19): Children and Family Centres service update We have been working closely with our Public Health colleagues and 12 of our Children and Family Centres are now open and available for use to deliver services to support children and their families. Whilst we cannot invite you into our centres as we usually do, we are here to help so please don’t let this stop you contacting us by phone or email (contact details below) From 5th November 2020 we will be offering some ‘in real life’ activities, for specific groups of families, ‘in real life’ support for individual families, and a virtual offer for all families via Zoom groups and the Children and Family Centre YouTube Channel. Online resources • Our partner 1st Place Centre has created an online hub where you can find advice, guidance and activities to support you and your family during this difficult situation https://www.1stplace.uk.com/the-hub • Our partners Coin Street Community Trust’s have created a hub for children over 5 and their families which offers a range of information, advice and activities https://coinstreet.org/the-hub/ • Southwark Children and Family Centre YouTube channel, here you can find a variety of videos that are suitable for children under 5 and their families on our YouTube channel, new videos will be available each day. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOcbH18Gxw8uLNmKKIGiFFQ • The Parents and Children Together (PACT) whole family support service has created a range of virtual resources for children under 5 and their families including activities, videos and advice Community health services Our health partners have worked hard to return to seeing more families face-to-face over the autumn period. These services are currently reviewing the impact of the second national lockdown on delivery and an update will be provided as soon as possible.
