SECOND REGULAR SESSION House Concurrent Resolution No. 93 100TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY INTRODUCED BY REPRESENTATIVE SWAN. 5527H.01I DANA RADEMAN MILLER, Chief Clerk WHEREAS, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Chairman Adam Schiff, and the House of 2 Representatives of the United States engaged in a rushed and overtly political attempt to impeach 3 President Donald Trump; and 4 5 WHEREAS, the House of Representatives failed to identify a single criminal act upon 6 which to base the Articles of Impeachment transmitted to the Senate; and 7 8 WHEREAS, the Constitution is abundantly clear that impeachment is a tool of last resort 9 to be applied only after the commission of "high crimes and misdemeanors"; and 10 11 WHEREAS, the Articles of Impeachment approved by the House were supported solely 12 by members of a single political party, illustrating that it was purely partisan in nature; and 13 14 WHEREAS, the U.S. Senate - including Senator Roy Blunt and Senator Josh Hawley 15 - voted to acquit President Trump, exonerating him and revealing the House's impeachment 16 attempt to simply be an act of political gamesmanship: 17 18 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the House of 19 Representatives of the One Hundredth General Assembly, Second Regular Session, the Senate 20 concurring therein, hereby condemn the politicization of impeachment by the United States 21 House and thank Senator Roy Blunt and Senator Josh Hawley for properly voting to acquit 22 President Trump; and 23 HCR 93 2 24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of 25 Representatives be instructed to prepare a properly inscribed copy of this resolution for the 26 United States House of Representatives, the United States Senate, Chief Justice John Roberts, 27 and President Donald J.
