Everson-Jones, ‘82 Chair, Virginia State University Foundation ANNUAL REPORT - 2019/20 ANNUAL REPORT - 2019/2020 VSU AWARDED $150,000 FROM MARIETTA MCNEILL MORGAN AND SAMUEL TATE MORGAN, JR. TRUST GRANT •••••• Virginia State University was awarded $150,000 from the Marietta McNeill Morgan & Samuel Tate Morgan Jr. Trust administered by Bank of America Private Bank in support of technology assistance. The award eased the transition to remote instruction due to COVID-19, during the Fall 2020 semester providing laptops and wireless access to students for the academic year. “As we adjust and pivot for the future, the resources provided through the Marietta McNeill Morgan & Samuel Tate Morgan, Jr. Trust will allow us to support our students with the necessary technology needs. This award will directly aid our students in continuing their coursework remotely,” shared Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Donald Palm. With this grant, 250 students were provided laptops to continue remote coursework and wireless connection for PAGE09 PAGE08 100 students.
