Skaters do not need to wear a mask when on the warm up immediately preceding their event (this is the 4/5/6 min warm up) or while competing. This is not only for your protection, but for the protection of others and is applied to all attendees. Social distancing must be maintained at all times. The CDC recommends a distance of 6 feet and separate pathways will be established within the venue (minimizing crossover and contamination). *****WE WILL UPDATE OUR COVID-19 POLICY AS WE CONTINUE TO GET MORE INFORMATION FROM THE CDC, U.S. FIGURE SKATING AND OUR COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT.***** U.S. Figure Skating Waivers are a requirement for ALL athletes. The online waivers must be completed via Members Only prior to the competition, instruction here. The Cup of Colorado will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of U.S. Figure Skating, as set forth in the current rulebook, as well as any pertinent updates which have been posted on the U.S. Figure Skating website. This competition is open to all eligible, restricted, reinstated, or readmitted persons as defined by the Eligibility Rules, and who is a currently registered member of a U.S. Figure Skating member club, a collegiate club or an individual member in accordance with the current rulebook. Please refer to the current rulebook for non-U.S. Citizens. ELIGIBILITY/TEST LEVEL: Competition level is the highest test passed as of the entry deadline in the discipline the skater is entering. Entrants may skate one level above that for which they qualify, but they may not skate down in any event. Not all events need to be skated at the same level. Age restrictions/requirements: Singles free skate events (Well Balanced Program) have the following requirements. ● Juvenile: Girls – 12 years of age or younger; Boys – 13 years of age or younger ● Open Juvenile: Girls – 13 years of age or older; Boys – 14 years of age or older ● Intermediate must be under the age of 18 ● Adults must be 21 years of age or older Skaters entering pre-juvenile and lower events will be divided as closely as possible by age, should the number of entries warrant more than one group. Adult Events: Age classes for all free skate, dramatic & light entertainment events: ● Young Adult: 18 years through 20 years ● Class I: 21 years through 35 years ● Class II: 36 years through 45 years ● Class III: 46 years through 55 years ● Class IV: 56 years through 65 years ● Class V: 66 years and older The chief referee reserves the right to request proof of age. Skaters entering juvenile free skate events (Well Balanced Program) must be 12 years of age or at the close of entries. Skaters entering open juvenile free skate events (Well Balanced Program), must be at least 13 years of age at the close of entries. Skaters entering beginner–pre-juvenile events will be divided as closely as possible by age should the number of entries warrant more than one group. SCHEDULE: Competitors may be scheduled on any day or time during the announced dates of the competition. The competition and practice ice schedule will be available after the close of entries. All participants will be notified via email once available. Information will also be posted at www.coloradoskatingclub.net. ENTRIES: Secure online Registration and payment through Entryeeze will be available at www.coloradoskatingclub.net until 11:59 MDT, Monday, July 12, 2021. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Referee and the Competition Committee and will be charged a $30.00 late fee. The Competition Committee reserves the right to limit entries in any event or to cancel an event all together. 2 FACILITIES: The competition will be held at the South Suburban Sports Complex, 4810 East County Line Road, Littleton, CO. 80126. Phone: 303-798-7515, and www.ssprd.org. The South Suburban Sports Complex has 3 sheets of ice, a fieldhouse with two synthetic turf fields and two gymnasiums with pickleball courts. A restaurant/bar area is open to the public for food and drinks as well. ENTRY FEES: EVENT TYPE ENTRY FEE IJS Single Event $165 Additional IJS Event $65 First 6.0 Event (Includes Showcase) $145 Second 6.0 Event (includes Showcase) $50 Each additional 6.0 Event (Includes Showcase) $30 Compete USA 1st Event $110 Compete USA additional Event $35 REFUND POLICY: Entry fees will not be refunded after Monday, July 12, 2021 unless no competition exists, or the event is canceled. Two entries will constitute an event. There will be no refunds for medical withdrawals. The online processing fees are not refundable. Checks returned for non-sufficient funds and contested credit card charges will be issued a $30 fee. Payment of the fee will be required before the skater can participate in practice ice or events. Please check your entry information for accuracy. If you do not have Internet access, please ask your coach or a friend to check this site for you. Due to COVID-19 compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations, if the event cannot be held due to regulations a full refund will be issued. MUSIC: Competitors participating in events with music are required to upload their music to EntryEeze no later than Friday, July 30, 2021. After this date, skaters will be charged a $30 late fee. Late fees will not be removed under any circumstances and must be paid prior to receiving the skater credential onsite. Competitors must bring a copy of their competition music on phone or tablet as a backup in case of technical difficulties and must be available rink side during the competition. CDs will not be accepted. PLANNED PROGRAM CONTENT (PPC): Competitors participating in IJS events are required to submit PPC in EntryEeze no later than Friday, July 30, 2021. After this date, skaters will be charged a $30 late fee. The late fee will automatically be added to each skater's cart who doesn't meet this requirement by the deadline. Late fees will not be removed under any circumstances and must be paid prior to receiving the skater credential onsite. LIABILITY: U.S. Figure Skating, Colorado Skating Club, and the South Suburban Sports Complex accept no responsibility for injury or damage sustained by any participant in this competition. This is in accordance with Rule 1600 of the official U.S. Figure Skating Rulebook. REGISTRATION: Registration will begin on Thursday, August 12, 2021 and end on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Registration will be open one to two hours before the first event and run through the last event of the day. The registration table will be located in the lobby of the South Suburban Sports Complex. Please register promptly upon arrival and have all necessary music. CRITIQUES: As of now, Cup of Colorado will be offering in-person critiques immediately following the event. We will communicate any changes with critiques as we get closer to the competition. LOCKER ROOMS & CHANGING AREAS: Locker rooms and changing areas will NOT be available for use. No changing will be permitted in the restrooms. Please arrive at the arena dressed and ready to skate. PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY: Cup of Colorado is working with Local Motion Productions and will provide more information at a later date. Note, per U.S. Figure Skating policy, photographing and/or recording of any one other than your own skater is strictly prohibited. 3 TEST CREDIT: Skaters wanting test credit must complete this online form prior to August 1st, 2021. Skaters that meet the requirements for test credit may must pick up their tes credit packet at the registration desk prior to the end of the competition. Test Credit packets are $10. AWARDS: Awards will be made as soon as possible after the conclusion of each event. Medals will be given to the top four (4) in all events with the exception of LTS USA events which will award medals/ribbons to all competitors.
