Samsung S7/S7Edge Wi-Fi Hotspot and USB tethering Wi-Fi Hotspot: 1. Go to Settings > Mobile hotspot and tethering > Mobile hotspot and tap the On/Off switch. 2. Here you can see the HOTSPOT NAME, and change the PASSWORD. 3. On the client device, use the Wi-Fi network and password that was associated with the hotspot to connect. Alternative method: Swipe down with two fingers from a home page and tap Mobile hotspot, then swipe with one finger and tap tethering or hotspot active to get to the same page as in step 2 above. USB Tethering: For most installations you can start with step 2. If it doesn’t connect you may need to check your computer setup. On the device, go to Apps > Settings > Mobile hotspot and tethering and tap USB tethering. 5. Wait for the client computer to recognize the device as a new network connection a. Depending on your operating system, you may or may not see anything happen. b. OS X users may see a message on the phone about Android File Transfer, which they can ignore The Internet should now be available on the client computer; turn Wi-Fi off, open a web browser, and verify that you can view web pages. .
