Students currently receive credits for taking this 10-week course. Pre-departure symposium: This annual event was created and developed as a half a day event that would fully prepare students going abroad, providing information on the multiple existing resources and on the 5 University requirements to go abroad. Information about countries are discussed, including situations, expectations, and general information aimed to provide a context for the country the student will visit during the Summer months. Currently, other University programs that offer electives or experiences abroad participate in this predeparture symposium.
