Shanti Tudu, Age‐18 (Benefited by J.S.Y) Family details: Marital status/ Spouse and Shanti Tudu, W/O‐ Ram Hembrom, children’s names and ages/ Other information Name of child‐Parwati Hembrom (female), about family members Age 6½ months. Family involvement in the project: She is an active member of Core committee and a member of kiya dadi SHG, since one year ago (Benefited by J.S.Y) when she was not even get marriage, in very young age of 17 she used to participate in different meetings and got trainings and aware about the different schemes. And now she was married woman and she was fully aware about JSY scheme. And which help her during her pregnancy. What was life like before the project? Before the project I was not interested in participating in village meetings, because of being a young girl I feels shy and did not comes out of my house and generally live with the family and play with friends. I was still studying and in 2018 I get married and became a house wife and spending my daily life. Improvements made because of the project / When JOHAR project starts in 2014 I was very how have the family benefitted? young to sit in meeting s but though I attend the meetings, after marriage in 2018 with my neighbor, my husband stopped me to do though I still continue attending the meetings, my understand level raises and I begin to learn and talk and conclude my words, I was fully involved so community members decided to add me as a core committee member. At home I feel respect by every family member. And after my journey starts I was trained on different govt. Schemes, which improved my self confidence and this is due to JOHAR project. How does it make them feel to be part of the I was aware about various types of Govt. project, what have they achieved and learnt? schemes and also benefited by – Ration Card through PDS. JSY ( Janani Suraksha Yojana) MNREGA Job card. PMAY Goat shed My economic condition has improved after involved in SHG’s activities. Feeling proud after involvement CBO with the JOHAR projects. Increased self confidence. Current challenges still faced by the family Still needs to increase income of the family. To improve the educational and health status of the family as well as the villagers To avail all government social security scheme by taking detail information and following right process Response of PRI members were not up to the mark, sometime community has to wait a lot for the services. Hopes for the future Learning and earning. I want to gain knowledge except these issues Provide higher qualities education to the children. Describe your typical day I wake up in the morning and do the daily work as house wife. I do only light works during this period, to get my strength back and continue studies in hope to learn new things. Details on food insecurity/security Knowledge of Right to Food and idea generate regarding growing crops, so previous four month successfully able to cultivate paddy, and grains. Main sources of income Individually, goatery, piggery, poultry agriculture and wages are the main source of income. Access to Education / Healthcare / Sanitation Literate/Take proper care for health and hygiene and aware for neatness and cleanness.
