Transportation Guide for Central Counting Station 10 10 The counting of votes of Functional Constituencies (FC) including District Council (second) Functional Constituency (DC(2nd)FC) for the 2012 Legislative Council Election will be held at Halls 3-11 of AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE). The Central Counting Station is easily accessible by various modes of transportation. 1 By Airport Express 1.1 Airport Express provides a direct and convenient link to and from AWE with the in-venue AsiaWorld-Expo Station. Please leave the Station at Exit A and make use of the access control point at 1/F east lobby of AWE for entry into the Central Counting Station. 1.2 Airport Express operates daily with the following route: Hong Kong Station Æ Kowloon Station Æ Tsing Yi Station Æ Airport Station Æ AsiaWorld-Expo Station From Approx. Travelling Time Adult Fare for Special Round-trip Ticket to AsiaWorld-Expo (with two-day validity from Station 9 to 10 Sept 2012 +) Hong Kong Station 28 mins HK $52 Kowloon Station 25 mins HK $52 Tsing Yi Station 17 mins HK $42 ++ Airport Station 1 min + Visitors can redeem the tickets with Octopus Card at the designated counters (located at Lower Level 2 of Hong Kong Station or Kowloon Station – Trains to Airport and AsiaWorld-Expo and Level U4 of the Tsing Yi Station – Trains to Airport and AsiaWorld-Expo respectively). Any fare rebate will be automatically credited to the Octopus Card at the return trip exit gate. Passengers can enjoy free MTR connections when using the same Octopus Card (with sufficient value) to interchange within 1 hour of arrival between the Airport Express at Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station and the interconnecting MTR line. The free connection trip includes travel to Lo Wu or Lok Ma Chau stations, but excludes Light Rail, MTR Bus and East Rail Line First Class. When changing between Tsim Sha Tsui/East Tsim Sha Tsui Stations, passenger must do so within 30 minutes of arrival at either station. The savings will vary depending on the fare of the connection journeys. For passengers whose boarding and destination stations are different, the total fare will be calculation as the average of the fares for the two journeys. E2 2.2 Public members who alight at MTR Tung Chung Station can travel to AWE by bus route X1 (Point-to-Point Express and stop at the East Entrance of the venue) and S1. Visitors going to the New Territories can take Long Win Bus Routes E32 and E41 from AWE to GTC to interchange with Long Win Routes A31(Tsuen Wan), A41(Shatin), A41P(Ma On Shan), A43(Fanling), E33 (Tuen Mun), E34 (Tin Shui Wai via Yuen Long) or E42 (Shatin (Pok Hong) via Tai Wai). The fare of the journey from AWE to GTC would be waived upon making the interchange with the same Octopus card.
