For more information, please contact [email protected]. news Information Services Univer y of montana • missoula, montana 59801 • (406) 243-2522 IMMEDIATELY kaudy /mch/ ds / ~ · 3-28-75 "VOICES OF LAND USE" FILM TO BE AIRED state + cs SUNDAY, MARCH 30, ON MTN NETI~ORK MISSOULA-- A film entitled "Voices of Land Use" will be shown Sunday, March 30, from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on all Montana Television Network stations--KXLF, Butte; KTVQ, Billings; KRTV, Great Falls, and KPAX, Missoula. The film, prepared by the Gallatin Canyon Study Team (GCST), under a grant from the Montana Committee for the Humanities, an organization based at the University of Montana in Missoula, addresses the question of area land use planning in the face of ongoing development and growth. With the use of GCST research products as examples, the film will evaluate various alternatives with regard to planning and the means of informing people of the choices to be made on land-use issues. The film, narrated by Missoula author A. B. Guthrie Jr., includes remarks by Gov. Thomas L. Judge; Dr. Carl W. Mcintosh, Bozeman, president of Montana State University; Dr. Michael P. Malone, professor of history at MSU; Dr. David Stuart, MSU history professor, who is GCST principal investigator, and John W. Reuss, Helena, director of the Environmental Quality Council. ### .
