
Top Tips: • There is a free Car Park at the Elsecar Heritage Centre and the Old Moor Wetlands Centre and clear signage for the trail. There is a café and outdoor play area at the Wetlands, while the Heritage Centre also has a selection of café’s and an indoor children's play area, while Elsecar Park has an outdoor kid’s area too. • While most of the trail is away from traffic there are Trail Treasure Hunt a number of crossings which need to be made, two of which are across busy junctions, care is advised at the entrance to Cortonwood Business Park and a bit further on at the crossing by the Elsecar Greenway to Junction Inn pub. Old Moor Wetlands Centre • The trail is fairly flat with just the odd raised section, with trees giving excellent protection from the weather along the majority of the pathway. • The route is nearly 3 miles each way.
