The stronger and any cattle fleshed still a strong trade. Top steer today going to AC Halls of Altarnun with another grand run of Charolais x Suckler cattle. His top a well shaped steer to £1045 and a second at £935 15mths. V Rickard of St Clether ran in close with a Hereford Steer with plenty of fleshing to £990 and 4 Stabiliser x Steers to £925. AV Martin of Callington saw his best steers to £985 for a super fleshy Devon Steer and a trio of Limousin x to £890. Heifers A cracking lot of heifers with plenty of definition from WE Uglow of Trelash who saw his best trio of black Limousin heifers to £1120. AV Martin of Callington close behind with a cracking red Limousin x heifer to £1000 and SE Eastley of Pelynt seeing his best Aberdeen Angus heifers away at £890. Friesians were a fair trade with an outstaning run from the Kellow family. Treveglos farms their top a pen of 5 strong boys to £925 and another 5 at £805. Younger Cattle 12mth suckler bred Steers to £870 twice from the Halls family, Charolais x Steers with plenty of length and the Trudgian’s with their third pick of Charolais x Steers to £840 for 7. Heifers to £750 and £715. SHEEP AUCTIONEER STEVE PROUSE 07767 895366 366 DRAFT EWES Much larger entry met a very strong trade throughout market with our usual 6 buyers present. 9 pens over £85 to a top on the morning of 110.50 for a pen of Texel from Messrs MK Coumbe, Housey Farm Liskeard. However the good meat and shapely lambs selling to a premium . Numerous pens over 233p to a top of 244p for a pen of 42kgs, £102.50 from Capehope Ltd, Treroosal St Teath followed by Chris Hutchings of Couches Mill who realised 242p for his pen of 42kgs £101.50. 9 pens over £103 to a top of £106 for a pen of Charolais 50kgs from Colin Davey, Delabole followied by Winston Grigg, Trengune 45kgs £105. 120 Store Sheep Special sale of Polled Dorset and Dorset x ewes met a strong trade and more could have been sold. Top call on the shearling was £146 for 2 pens from Dudley and Martin Harris, Mount, Bodmin followed by 2 pens of Dorset Shearlings from Chris Nicholls, Boscastle who made £130 for his 2 pens of Shearlings and he topped the ewe lambs at £100. .
