Roosevelt, and as director general of the Texas Centennial Celebration; his activities as the chairman or the Houston Harbor Board, as a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and chairman of its building committee, and in development, finance, and banking operations, particularly in Houston; and his collaboration with Edward Angley in writing 50 Million Dollars. A gap exists in the collection from 1930-1950 representing Jones's active service in the federal government. Most of the Jones material for those years is located in the Library of Congress. Collection contains correspondence, business and financial records, book manuscripts and research notes, speeches, certificates, address and appointment books, scrapbooks, magazine and newspaper clippings, annotated copies of the Congressional Record, blueprints, charts, photographs, films, cartoons, pamphlets, painting, drawings, posters, and phonograph records.
