The elections will be held between 10.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. on Tuesday, the 9th February, 2021 in Committee Room No. 63, First Floor, Parliament House, New Delhi and the method of election will be by proportional representation by means of single transferable vote. 3. Members may kindly note that each Member shall have one vote only. A Member in giving his/her vote- (a) must place on the Ballot Paper the figure ‘1’ in the space provided against the name of the candidate for whom he/she votes; (b) may, in addition, place on the Ballot Paper the figure ‘2’ or ‘3’, and so on as the case may be, in the space provided against the names of the other candidates in the order of his/her preference. 4. Further, a Ballot Paper shall be invalid:- (a) upon which a Member signs his/her name or writes any word, or makes any mark by which it becomes recognizable; or (b) which does not bear the Returning Officer’s initials; or (c) on which the figure ‘1’ is not marked ; or (d) on which the figure ‘1’ is set opposite the name of more than one candidate; or (e) on which the figure ‘1’ and some other figure is set opposite the name of the same candidate; or (f) which is unmarked or void for uncertainty. 5. The counting of votes will commence at 2.00 p.m. on the same day at the said venue. 6. Elango, M.P. would be as follows:- Flat No. 186, North Avenue, New Delhi-110001 Members may kindly note for information. –––––––––– No.60585 Library and Reference Unit, LARRDIS Deposit of Archival/ Historical material/Archival books and Photographs available in Parliamentary Museum & Archives for reference The Parliamentary Museum & Archives, Lok Sabha Secretariat undertakes acquisition, storage and preservation of precious records, historical documents and articles connected with the origin, growth and functioning of parliamentary institutions and the Constitution of India. It is felt that these objects, which are part of our national heritage, are collected, scientifically treated and preserved for the benefit of posterity. Hon’ble Members are requested to consider depositing material which they have in their possession like Private correspondence, Notes, Articles, Records, Manuscripts, Speeches, Memoirs, Diaries, Relics, Art pieces, Mementos, Personal belongings and collections, Paintings, Photographs or any other material of archival/ historical value connected with their career and activities as Parliamentarians and freedom fighters, in the Parliamentary Museum & Archives, FB-094 and FB-096, Parliament Library Building (Tel. Nos. 23034131, 23034226, Fax No. 23035326) for permanent preservation and display. The material will enrich the Parliamentary Museum & Archives and be useful for research work. If desired, the material received would be returned after making necessary copies. Any secretarial assistance in sorting out and listing the material will be made available by the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The Parliamentary Museum and Archives (PMA) have 732 books on/ by Hon’ble Members of Parliament. Hon’ble Members who are desirous of consulting these books may contact the PMA. 5 The Photo Archives too has a collection of 19,964 photographs relating to Parliamentary events and passport size photographs of Hon’ble Members of Parliament from 1st to 17th Lok Sabha including two hundred photographs of Freedom Fighters lodged in Cellular Jail during freedom struggle received from the Government of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. All these photographs have been digitized and can be retrieved with a click of mouse with the help of keywords through software available in the branch.
