Th e Glossy Ib is has an almost cosmopolitan distribution across Eurasia ，p紅 ts of Afri ca ， India India through the islands of In donesia to Australia 部 well as along the eastem seaboard of of the United States and around the Caribbean (SmLEY & MUNRO ， 1990). It is said to be migratory ，dispersive and somewhat nomadic (CRAMP & SIMMONS ， 1977).
