Riding skills are of course on the horse. Barn skills require demonstration, where Horseology can be done be written or oral test. Level 1- Foal. Upon graduation should be safe around horses and ponies. Level 2- Weanling. Demonstrates strong basic skills and knowledge. May be a candidate for group lessons. Level 3- Yearling. Developing horse person, could consider a supervised lease. Level 4- Green Broke. A student at this level may be ready to own an uncomplicated horse. Level 5- Trail Horse. Strong skills in the barn and ring. Consider a part time barn job. Level 6- Performance Horse. Should be easily able to own a horse and care for it at home. Level 7- Champion. Should be able to select an appropriate horse. Level 8- Unicorn. If you get this far, you should really go pro.
