The panel of highly renowned wine judges will be evaluating more than 300 wines the weekend of August 5-6. This year’s top five most popular varietals entered into the competition include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah/Shiraz, Rose/Blush and Tempranillo. Medals will be awarded including the announcement of the best of show winners at the Medal Celebration on August 23. Guests of the Medal Celebration will be among the first to try the medal- winning wines, which will be featured at various events throughout the week of the Oregon Wine Experience® August 21 – 27. The Oregon Wine Experience® encompasses the full breadth and depth of Oregon wines including over 100 wineries from all corners of the state of Oregon with 15 of 17 Oregon AVA’s participating throughout the schedule of events.
