Strohmeier INTRODUCTION collected samples during 2001-03 from wells completed in the Columbia aquifer, which also is The Indian River Bay (IRB) watershed recognized as the unconfined or water-table aquifer located in Sussex County, Delaware (Figure 1), in the Coastal Plain of Delaware (Andres, 1987; contains a coastal lagoon, tidal and non-tidal streams, Talley, 1988).
