BUSINESS Breeze-Eastern Corporation, a Delaware corporation, designs, develops, manufactures, sells and services sophisticated engineered mission equipment for specialty aerospace and defense applications. We were originally organized in 1962 as a California corporation and reincorporated in Delaware in 1986. Unless the context otherwise requires, references to the "Company," the "Registrant," "Breeze-Eastern," "we" or "us" refer to Breeze-Eastern Corporation and its consolidated subsidiaries. Certain prior fiscal year amounts may have been reclassified to conform to the current fiscal year presentation. CORE BUSINESS Our core business is aerospace and defense products. We believe we are a leading global designer, manufacturer, service provider, and supplier of mission-critical rescue hoists and cargo hook systems. We also manufacture weapons handling systems, cargo winches, and tie-down equipment. These products are sold primarily to military and civilian agencies and aerospace contractors. Our emphasis is on the engineering, assembly, testing, service, and support of our products. 3 Table of Contents PRODUCTS AND SERVICES Our products and related services aggregate into one reportable segment. The nature of the production process (assemble, inspect, and test), customers, and product distribution are similar for all products.
