Website: http://www.lakeridgegolf.com/ Daytime Option 2: South Lake Tahoe & Heavenly Gondola Ride Guests will travel from the Peppermill Hotel up Mt. Rose to Lake Tahoe. A visit to Lake Tahoe means a visit to one of America’s most unique resort areas. At an elevation of 6,225 feet, Lake Tahoe is one of the world’s largest and most beautiful Alpine Lakes; it straddles the border between California and Nevada, west of Carson City. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America, the second deepest lake in the United States and the tenth deepest in the world with a maximum depth measured at 1,645 feet. The outing includes a 2.4 miles ride up the Heavenly Mountain Gondola which will leave you breathless as you take in the panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. Guests will stop at the Observation Deck (a 14,000 square foot mid-station observation platform) to take in the shore-to-shore views of Lake Tahoe. We will then depart Heavenly and head to the Tallac Historical Site where we will enjoy a picnic boxed lunch on the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe. Walking shoes and a light jacket are recommended. Evening: The Taste of Nevada Reception and Dinner The evening will begin with cocktails, wine and beer followed by a Taste of Nevada buffet at the Edge Night Spot. This nightclub, located at the Peppermill Hotel, has a dramatic almost theatrical look where you will enjoy cocktails and food fares from the region. Monday, September 19 Reception and Dinner at the Greater Nevada Field, home of the Reno “Aces” Guests will be transported in motor coaches and dropped off at the entrance to the Greater Nevada Field, where they will be lead upstairs to Bugsy’s Sports Bar & Grill overlooking the field. The Reno Aces are a Minor League Baseball franchise in the western United States, based in Reno, Nevada. The team is a member of the Pacific Coast League and is the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Guests will have the opportunity to go inside or stay outside. Tuesday, September 20 Sunset Dinner Cruise aboard the M.S. Dixie II Paddle Wheeler Guest will be transported in motor coaches from the Peppermill to Zephyr Cove in Lake Tahoe. The MS Dixie paddle wheeler has fans! The 500-passenger, award-winning M.S. Dixie II is the largest cruising vessel in South Lake Tahoe and a local favorite. Once onboard the M.S. Dixie guests will enjoy cocktails, a Sunset Dinner Cruise, opportunities to take photos of breathtaking Lake Tahoe views and even dancing! Wednesday, September 21 President’s Banquet The President’s Banquet will be held at the Peppermill in the Tuscany Banquet room. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception followed by the banquet when we will honor former and current STRIMA leadership. After dinner and a short program we will end the night dancing and singing for those so inclined! Thursday, September 22 Risk Management Field Trip This year’s field trip will take us to Historical Virginia City where guests will take a V&T train ride and tour the Chollar Mine, followed by lunch at the famous Mustang Ranch Steakhouse and free time to shop and walk in the city where one can “step back in time.” The 19th century mining bonanza turned Virginia City into the most important industrial city between Denver and San Francisco, and it turned destitute prospectors from all over the world into millionaires. http://www.visitvirginiacitynv.com/about-virginia- city/history.html .
