MEDIA RELEASE Take a trip from Toronto to Atlantic Canada at the Shield to Shore festival, July 22–24 TORONTO, ON (June 22, 2016) – Harbourfront Centre is excited to present the first edition of Shield to Shore, a festival that showcases the music, stories and other art forms of the St. Lawrence River corridor, from Ontario to Atlantic Canada, highlighting the rich history and culture of the region. Ontario native Melanie Brulée , winner of the 2015 Folk Music Ontario Stingray Songs from the Heart award, kicks off the weekend with her passionate folk-rock music, followed by the infectious pop music from indie darlings The Elwins. Taking over the Concert Stage on Saturday night are f olk festival favourites Great Lake Swimmers .
