D. Programme in the Autumn Semester: Session 2015-‘16 Online applications are invited in prescribed format from eligible candidates for admission to the Ph. D. Programme in various fields of the following subjects according to vacancies mentioned against each: (i) Islamic Theology, (ii) Arabic, (iii) Bengali, (iv) English, (v) History, (vi) Geography, (vii) Physics, (viii) Chemistry, (ix) Mathematics, (x) Computer Science and Engineering, (xi) Electronics & Communication Engineering and (xii) Mechanical Engineering. Eligibility criteria and other rules related to Ph. D. programme as per the ‘REGULATIONS FOR THE AWARD OF DOCTORATE DEGREES’ of the University which can be obtained in the University website. Fees: Fees for the application is Rs. 450/- for each subject. Application procedure: Log on to the university website http://www.aliah.ac.in and click on the link Admission to Ph.D. Programme - 2015. Read the eligibility criteria carefully before starting your application process. Applying in a subject you are not eligible for will only cause your application to be rejected & application fee will not be refunded. Fill all details and complete the entire application process at one go. If you leave it in between, you will have to start the process once again. After you complete the form and made payment, you will get a unique application ID. Please use this ID in all communications. Candidates filling the online application can pay the application fee through online payment. Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking login password details should be kept ready before starting the application process. You need to upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature in the online application form. Image size should be less than 500KB. Keep the name of the Image file as "pic" for photograph and "sign" for signature (No special characters allowed in the image file names). Then submit the application. Submission of application: ‘Confirmation sheet’ generated at the time of applying online is to be submitted ONLINE. Applicant is to send testimonials (self attested) in support of age, qualifications (mark sheets), experience (if any), fee receipt along with the generated ‘Confirmation sheet’ in a sealed envelope (super-scribing name of the department applied for) to The Registrar, Aliah University, Action Area-IIA/27, New Town (Near Eco Space), Kolkata – 700 156 latest by 15.10.2015 till 4:00 pm. Submission of ‘Confirmation sheet’ along with documents is mandatory.
