Alumni Services Alumni Card Bryant alumni wishing to use the Douglas and Judith Krupp Library need to obtain an Alumni Card from the Bryant University Alumni Office. To obtain an alumni card, call the Office of Alumni Relations at 401- 232-6040 or e-mail the office at: [email protected] . The alumni card is issued at no cost to anyone who has been awarded a degree from Bryant University. Once an Alumni Card has been acquired, you must fill out a library application at Borrower Services at the Douglas and Judith Krupp Library. The barcode number for your alumni card will be issued at this time. Your Alumni Card can be activated at any time the library is open. ( library hours ) Electronic Resources (Databases) On site access to most electronic subscriptions is available to alumni but off campus access to these resources is restricted to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff only. Some databases are NOT available for on-site usage by Alumni, for example, those databases located in the Financial Markets Center. License agreements restrict the use of certain databases to current Bryant students and faculty only. Off-site access to similar electronic resources may be available via your local public library or state consortium: Rhode Island If you live in Rhode Island you can access the databases offered via AskRI. Connecticut If you are a Connecticut resident please go to: https://researchitct.org/. Print Books With an alumni card, alumni can check out books from Bryant's circulating collections. Books in the main circulating collection can be checked out for 4 weeks. Leisure reading items are available for a two week loan period. Also, please note that RI residents can borrow books from local public libraries and RI's 3 state colleges: Rhode Island College , University of Rhode Island and the Community College of Rhode Island . Network If you are using our facility onsite and wish to bring your own laptop you may access our hardwired network or our wireless network. A network card is required for hard wired access and a wireless card (802.11b or g standard) is required for connectivity to the wireless network. For more information on the wireless network please consult the Wireless Network Help Sheet provided by Laptop Central. Laptop Central is now located within the Douglas and Judith Krupp Library. Workstations are also available within the library on a first come first served basis. Reference Services Limited on site reference service is available to Bryant Alumni with an Alumni Card. The Reference Department can be contacted at 401-232-6299. If you have extended research projects your local public library should be able to assist you or an information broker may be needed.
