Four Films Supported by MEDIA Will Compete for the Golden Lion at the 76Th Venice Film Festival

Four films supported by MEDIA will compete for the Golden Lion at the 76th Venice Film Festival The 76th edition of the Venice International Film Festival is taking place from 28 August to 7 September 2019. Twelve films supported by Creative Europe MEDIA will be competing in different sections, and four of them aim for the Golden Lion. In addition, industry professionals will discuss how to promote European films beyond Europe during our upcoming European Film Forum. This makes it a great place to look into the international dimension of Europe’s audiovisual sector. This year’s European Film Forum in Venice will take place on 31 August and will address how the presence of European audiovisual works in key markets beyond Europe can be strengthened and how to reach larger audiences for European productions in non-EU countries.
