Opening Prayer The President, Bishop Terry Kee, called the 45th Annual General Meeting to order, and invited Bishop Rennis Ponniah to say the opening prayer. Roll Call & Apologies The President extended a warm welcome to all present. For the roll call, he referred members to the list of attendees registered at the registration table. At 4.00pm, the attendance stood at 43 which met the required Quorum. Apologies from those who were unable to attend the AGM were noted. 2. The President’s Address: Bishop Terry Kee reflected on his election as the President of NCCS last year, which also coincided with the public announcement on the formation of the Alliance of Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches in Singapore (APCCS) on the same day and remarked that it has since been a challenging and busy period for his role as President. He went on to share: 2.1 There were more dialogue and engagement sessions with the respective government agencies than in his previous term as President citing engagements with Ministry of National Development (MND) on land issues Ministry of Law (MLaw) on the revision of Penal Code National Environment Agency (NEA) on the burial of ashes issues Ministry of Social and Family (MSF) on LGBT issues etc 2.2 Through NCCS, the authorities have been actively engaging member churches as well as other churches in Singapore. 4 7 45th Annual General Meeting Minutes of NCCS Held on Wednesday, 17 April 2019 2.3 The collaboration of Trinity Theological College with NCCS to form Ethos Institute for Public Christianity has been well received. It has encouraged members of the public to actively look and search out articles and publications from the Christian perspective at the Ethos website. 2.4 NCCS continues to serve the churches diligently in giving feedback to the authorities through private consultations and in public through the media.
