First and foremost, let us all wish for the speedy recovery of Helge from his current illness, wishing that he could join us to travel to Malaysia soon. It is now decided that the WOC 3 meeting in Malaysia which will be held on 27-28 April,2009 is now shifted from Langkawi, in northern Malaysia to the historical Malacca City in the south. This is chiefly to enable organising a post meeting tour of PETRONAS' major gas pipeline transmission installations in Segamat, located in the South of the Peninsula Malaysia which is about one hour drive from Malacca. In this respect, please organise your air travel to Malaysia to end at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) where we will then pick you up for a drive direct to Malacca. The initial programme could be as follows: Sunday, 26 April - Arrival in KLIA - Welcome Reception Monday, 27 April - Meeting Tuesday,28 April - Meeting & City Tour - Farewell & Cultural Dinner Wednesday,29 Apr - Technical tour to Segamat Venue of the Meeting is Equatorial Hotel, Malacca. The Organising Committee will endeavour to propose post-meeting excursion trips within Malaysia such as Langkawi, Penang, Kelantan, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, for your perusal. We can also assist you in your plan to travel to the nearby locations such as Thailand,Kampuchea,Vietnam, Indonesia, etc. And your spouse and accompanying persons are very warmly welcomed to travel to Malaysia. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further clarification. With many thanks and best regards, Zenorai Rambli Secretary-general MGA, Mobile : +6012-6181877 .
