Shetland Boat Week is an opportunity to showcase this heritage and see how modern ships and maritime industries compare with those of a previous generation. This is a family friendly event, enabling access to a whole range of activities, which will include demonstrations and teaching of traditional skills, talks, boat trips and tours of vessels and venues not normally open to the public. Full details of events are included in this programme and tickets can be purchased, where required, at www.thelittleboxoffice.com/sat Many events are free and no booking is required.
