Section 7 Description Described in item no. 19 on page 7.9, 601 North Main is, hereby, reclassified as a contributing building due to the removal of the metal cladding that obscured the building's front elevation at the time of the district's nomination. As documented in the owner's tax act certification application and confirmed by the SHPO's letter of 24 November 2004, the underlying fa?ade was found to be intact and has been cleaned as part of the current rehabilitation of the property. The Kansas State Historic Preservation Office was notified of this amendment.
