Vicky Bullett Vicky Bullett graduated from Martinsburg High School in 1985. During her years at MHS, Ms. Bullett lead the Bulldogs in scoring and rebounding for 3 years of Varsity basketball, played in the WV State High School Basketball tournament all 4 years while coached by her brother, Don, during her Junior and Senior years. Ms. Bullett received numerous awards in high school including All-Conference and All- State. All the major women’s’ programs around the country recruited her. Vicky continued her playing career at the University of Maryland where she played all 4 years. Vicky led the Terrapins to three ACC titles and one NCAA final four. During her years in college, Vicky accumulated many honors including ACC Tournament MVP, ACC Player of the year, Kodak All-American in 1989, and All ACC First Team (1987, 1988, and 1989). Upon graduation from the University of Maryland, Vicky’s #23 jersey was retired. She was also a member of the ACC Women’s Basketball 50th Anniversary team in 2003, named ACC Women’s Basketball legend in 2007 and a member of the Maryland Athletics Walk of Fame. After graduation from the University of Maryland, Vicky started playing basketball professionally in Italy playing for Bario from 1990-1993 and Cesena from 1993- 1997. She was named to the All Star Team four times during this span. After her journeys abroad, she returned back to the states and played for the Charlotte Sting from 1997-1999, the Washington Mystics from 2000-2002. Her accomplishments during this time are many including being a member of the WNBA All-Star Team in 1999. She also broke a record for minutes played in one game in 2001 playing 55 minutes during a quadruple overtime victory over the Seattle Storm. Retiring from the WNBA in 2002 and playing overseas in 2007, Vicky works as a teacher at South Middle School and was hired in 2009 as an Assistant Coach and Manager of Basketball Operations for the Washington Mystics. Martinsburg is very proud of their native daughter and choose to name “Vicky Bullett Street” in her honor! .
