Research Methodology Area of the Study and Sample Size: Palghar Taluka is the part of Palghar districts in the Maharashtra state of India. This taluka has five towns Palghar, Boisar, Vangaon, Kelve, Saphale. Palghar has India’s first atomic plant located at Tarapur. The industrial town of Boisar is also home to one of Maharashtra’s largest Industrial areas at Tarapur Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). The PalgharTaluka has large amount of SMEs which provides employment opportunities to the people of these area. As per the data collected from Palghar Taluka Industries Federation and Palghar Manufacturers Association Ltd there are 751 registered Small and Medium Enterprises operating in Palghar Taluka which are divided in different categories. Sample Size for research work 300 SME owners will be selected using Systematic Sampling Method. Primary Data: This data will be collected by the researcher first hand which is purely her own work. For the purpose of data collection as per the research objectives, a questionnaire would prepared by the researcher herself. For collecting actual and factual information research will be done by interviewing SME owners, government officials, bank officials, etc. Secondary Data: Secondary data will be collected from the already published books, research journals, reports, periodicals, Government records, Internet Web sites, etc. which is very much necessary to get in to the research topic. Researcher will be using following sources for collecting secondary information: 1. Reference books, Newspaper articles 2. Referred research journals, identical journals 3. Government reports 4. Internet websites 5. Industrial Publication Statistical tools and Techniques: Accurate analysis of data using standardized statistical method is very essential in determining the validity of the research. The test will be applied for analyzing the data is ANOVA, Z-test, Measures of central tendency and Chi-square method. To study the relationship between two variables correlation and regression will be used. Graphs and tables will be used to present data analysis. Work Plan: I Year: During this period following work will be done. 1) I will appear for PhD Entrance Test. 2) After Selection in PhD Entrance Test appearing for Interview. 3) Present proposal in front of Department. 4) Attending Course work. 5) Preparation and writing of Assignments 6) Preparation of Critical Review. 7) Preparation of Synopsis. II Year: During this period following work will be done. 1) Course work Examination 2) DRC (Departmental Research Committee approve and finalize my research topic) 3) Start work on thesis. a. Chapter 1 Introduction b. Chapter 2 Review of Literature c. Chapter 3 Methodology d. Chapter 4 Results, Conclusion, Recommendation, Summary and Help manual e. Chapter 5 Bibiliography 4) Research paper publication. 5) Conference / seminar presentations. III Year: During this period following work will be done. 1) Summary 2) Methodology 3) Results and Conclusions 4) Recommendations 5) Future Scope 6) Summary submission 7) Send thesis for Plagiarism check. 8) After Approval of Plagiarism (which should be Less than equal to 10%) submission of thesis 9) Thesis Evaluation by 4 external expert examiners 2 in Rajasthan and 2 out of Rajasthan. 10) Preparation for Viva .
