
Agricultural Science Agricultural Science (AS) is available at FCTC behind the high school. AS is worth a science credit. Upon completion 9 college credit hours are earned Come learn about agriculture, golf course management, greenhouse management, and more Learn how to operate professional equipment and gain working experience How do I sign-up? • Make an appointment with your guidance counselor before the end of the year or within the first week of the next school year. AS is available through periods 0-6 and a minimum of two periods must be devoted. AS is worth a high school science credit. With duel enrollment it is 9 college credit hours and FLGLA certification. Start your own project • IN the AS program, we want you to learn about what you are interested in. Individual projects are encouraged. If you want to specialize in orchids, flowers, permaculture, or even irrigation the teachers will help you gain knowledge and materials through hands-on learning. Learn, collaborate and have fun with your peers. TPC-Sawgrass • Come to the world of golf with us. Every year AS students take a week long field trip to gain practical greens management experience. TPC Field Study provides community service hours.
