Keep on learning in Maths! Are you enjoying your maths work? Are you looking for something more? Are you in Year 11 and considering maths for A-Level? This is the place for you! We have tried to put together some ideas for you to extend your mathematical knowledge beyond what MyMaths and Kerboodle. None of this work is ​ compulsory and we will not be assessing it, BUT if you have a go at it and want ​ to share your work then please do! We would love to hear from you all Year 7 ● Have a go at some of the MyMaths games. They can be found on the left hand side menu under Activities. The games are split into Number, Algebra, Shape and Data so ​ ​ you can pick different ones to play. The Khan Academy has great videos that you can use. ​ ​ ● Make a collection of revision cards using MyMaths, Kerboodle, your exercise books or a revision guide on the topics we have covered so far! You can keep them and use them in Year 11 ● The Langtree School website has a wealth of exam papers that you can use for exam practice. ● Watch a documentary or a TED talk about applied maths- a list is attached at the bottom of this document Year 11 ● Preparing for A Level? MyMaths have lots of lessons around the A Level syllabus. I have used these myself and they are extremely good. Take a look at the content and maybe do some pre-reading! I have put some stuff on Show My Homework which you might find useful ● Past paper practice could be useful. Perhaps continue revising and then sit your own paper under test conditions. Mark it and send any questions or scores to your teacher. ● Taking a look at some of the Level 2 Certificate material might be useful.
