SWOSU Foundation Annual Report 2013 Southwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation, Inc. Letter from the Chair Dear SWOSU Supporters: On behalf of the Board of Trustees, it is my pleasure to present this annual report and thank you for your support. During 2013, the board welcomed two new trustees: George Cohlmia and Brice Harris. These past SWOSU graduates are strongly committed to Southwestern and we anticipate we will value their experience and insights. Through your continued support and the returns on your donations, we were able to grant over 250 scholarships in 2013-2014. Today the assets of the Foundation total $22,113,785. State funding for the University’s operating budget has dropped from 82% in 1984 to the current 43.1%. To help the institution maintain its growth, it is vital that private support consistently increase. Our Empowered2Xcel campaign goals will be increasing funds for our main priorities – students, programs, technology, facilities and future endowments. We are excited to lay this groundwork and to realize the vision and mission of the SWOSU Foundation. Thanks again, Jim Mogg Chair – Board of Trustees Southwestern Oklahoma State University Southwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation, Inc.
