
Commerce and Economic Development Bureau/Belt and Road Office Executive Assistant Job Number: 43777 Salary: HK$40,515 per month Entry Requirements: (a) a bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university or equivalent; (b) at least 3 years’ post-qualification work experience; (c) good oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English (proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage), with Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [see Note]; (d) good computer operational knowledge including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese and English word processing skills; and (e) good interpersonal and communication skills and self-motivated. (Note: ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ respectively in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.) Duties: (a) perform administrative duties, support daily office operation, and assist in preparing various returns and submissions; (b) assist in organising and providing logistical support to various events/meetings/activities and duty visits for the Belt and Road Office (BRO); (c) assist in updating and managing BRO’s website; (d) support the production and distribution of publicity materials for BRO; and (e) perform any other duties assigned. Terms of Appointment: Successful candidate will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for two years. Fringe Benefits: Fourteen days of paid annual leave in respect of each leave year will be granted for employment under a continuous contract for not less than 12 months. Rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. A gratuity may be granted at the end of the contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Government’s contribution to a MPF scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
