The Salford Trail is a new, long distance walk of about 50 public transport miles/80 kilometres and entirely within the boundaries The new way to find direct bus services to where you of the City of Salford. At the end there is little “snicket” that you pass Trafford Rd through into Harecastle Avenue. Take the first left down Newry Road and the turn right up Kiel Close. Go straight ahead right of it and carry straight on passing Morrisons on heading for the BBC building. Pass between the BBC and your left. This is Bentcliffe Way. Soon come to the traffic the Landing building to enter the large open area. Go lights and Gilda Brook Road. Turn right here to the next diagonally left here to the Media City tram stop. Walk roundabout then cross Lankro Way and go left along the down the left hand platform passing the Blue Peter pavement. You will soon see the Ship Canal on your right. Garden. You are on towards the water. Walk along the waterside passing the Coronet Way. Cross over a railway bridge with the Ship Salford Quays operation tower. Go up some steps to cross Canal very obvious on your right and a sewage works on a bridge over the Mariner’s Canal and go back to the the left. .
