When the founder, Masao Kinoshita, started this business, he promised himself to hold the spirit of mutual trust,“To trust others, and win trust” as a philosophy. The trade name,“Maruito”, was decided since the harmonization of warp and weft, which is linked to an element of the kimono, represents mutual trust. “When one trusts another from bottom of one’s heart, the trust is reciprocated without fail.” We wish to broaden such trust. After that, the founder reestablished himself as a pawnbroker in July 1948. He commenced the Salary-Man Loan business probationally, in March 1960, which did not exist in the common sense, at that time. Developed First Cash Dispenser in Japan 1970 In May 1970, first “automatic cash dispenser” in Japan was developed/set up. In December 2007, ACOM jointly acquired "PT. Bank Nusantara Parahyangan, Tbk." in Republic of Indonesia with "The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd." (present, "MUFG Bank, Ltd.") In July 2017, ACOM established a joint venture for personal loan business, "ACOM CONSUMER FINANCE CORPORATION" in Republic of the Philippines. This company commenced operation in July 2018. Entered into the Industry's First Credit Card Business 1998 ACOM became a principal member of Mastercard International (present, Mastercard World Wide) in July 1998, and entered into the credit card business first in consumer finance industry. Since April 1999, ACOM started issuing Mastercard® and introduced “Decentralized Instant Credit Card Issuers” as the first in the industry. Became a member of MUFG Group 2004 In March 2004, ACOM reached an agreement with respect to a strategic business and capital alliance with "Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group, Inc." (present, "Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc."), and agreed upon alliance’s further strengthening in September 2008. In December 2008, ACOM became a consolidated subsidiary of "Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc." as the parent company.
