C Charlie Coyle, D Jared Spurgeon, LW Jason Zucker and RW Mikael Granlund each scored for the Wild during regulation. G Devan Dubnyk made 52 saves – tied for his career best. Next up, Minnesota will travel to Nashville to take on the Predators Monday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM. Minnesota has earned points in 14 of its last 17 games against Carolina (10-3-4). The Wild stretches its point streak to six games against the Hurricanes at Xcel Energy Center (5-0-1) and is 8-2-1 in its last 11 games, scoring three-plus goals in 10 of those 11 contests. The Wild’s 57 shots against are the most in franchise history, surpassing Boston’s 56 shots against on Nov. 8, 2001. G Devan Dubnyk stopped 52-of-57 shots to move to 1-1-2 on the season. His 52 saves tonight are tied for his career-best, last April 10, 2010 at LA (52-of-55). The goalie has stopped a total of 156-of-167 shots through four games for a 2.64 GAA and a .934 SV%. He is 76-33-12 with a 2.14 GAA, a .924 SV% and 12 shutouts at Xcel Energy Center since joining the Wild Jan. 15, 2015 (124 games). D Jared Spurgeon tallied his first two points of the season (1-1=2) to earn his 31st career multi-point game. He registered the primary assist on Coyle’s goal, his 150th career assist. It’s also his 48th career power-play assist – the blueliner ranks second amongst all-time Wild defensemen in PPA. The Edmonton native recorded back-to-back seasons with career highs in assists with 28 during the 2016-17 and 2017- 18 seasons. LW Jason Zucker netted his 100th career NHL goal with his first power-play goal of the season. He has four points (3-1=4) in back-to-back games. The winger signed a five-year, $27.5 million contract on July 25 after recording 64 points (33-31=64) in 82 games last season. LW Zach Parise tallied two assists to earn his 154th career multi-point game, second consecutive. He has four helpers in the last two games, five points (1-4=5) in four games this season and owns 15 points (9-6=15) in 15 games (since March 16). RW Mikael Granlund used a goal and an assist to record his first points of the season, his 57th career multi-point game. He skated in his 400th career NHL game on Oct. 6 vs. Vegas to become the 14th Wild player to reach the milestone. The Finnish native now sits at 191 career assists. C Charlie Coyle scored the first goal of the game, the Wild’s first power-play goal of the season. It’s his first PPG since Dec. 20, 2016 vs. Colorado. He owns two points (1-1=2) in three games this season. D Matt Dumba recorded the secondary assist on Coyle’s goal, his second point of the season (1-1=2). He signed a five-year, $30 million contract on July 21 after registering a career-high 50 points (14-36=50) in 82 games last season. D Ryan Suter registered the second assist on Zucker’s goal, his fourth point (1-3=4) in the last two games. The defenseman now owns 497 career points in 995 career games. He will become just the 50th NHL defenseman all-time to reach the 500-point milestone and play 1,000 games. RW Sebastian Aho led the Hurricanes with four points (2-2=4) while RW Justin Williams notched three points (1-2=3) and D Brett Pesce and C Jordan Staal each scored a goal.
