Wearing a Navy uniform, Stephen thanks Trump for joining him on the Brand Mention USS Chucklebucket. Trump says he's a big fan of Winston Churchill. Trump replies, "Blow it out of the water." Asked what his chances are of getting impeached, Trump says, "They're really good." Stephen asks what he'll do if he wins a second term. Trump says he'll move to Canada. Intro and opening credits. Stephen performs the monologue. It's Day three of President Trump's overseas tour. Brand Mention (5) Throughout the trip, Trump has insisted that instead of protests, the people of London have Political been cheering. That's true now because he left for Ireland. He met with Irish leader "and Celebrity Reference Celtic Popeye" Leo Varadkar in the VIP lounge of Shannon Airport. On the menu was a bottle Historical Reference of Dasani, Gummi Bears, and a short can of Pringles. Trump claimed that he knows most Irish people in America because they're his friends. Stephen asks, "What do you mean you know most of them?" In his Trump voice, Stephen says, "I know the Lucky Charms guy, Liam Neeson, patio furniture." Before he left England, Trump joined in the D-Day remembrance on the 75th anniversary of the Allies landing on the beaches of Normandy and fighting the Nazis. A clip shows Trump saying there were "very fine people on both sides" after the Charlottesville incident. Afterward, dancers emerged. Remember Churchill's famous words after Dunkirk, "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. It brings them to the beaches." Piers Morgan interviewed Trump and asked about him being on his best behavior. Trump says he has great respect for Queen Elizabeth and tried to be on better behavior. Stephen asks if that's how far we've sunk, that we're treating him like a dog and congratulating him for behaving. Trump recalled walking in with the Queen, who he says can walk as fast as he can. Stephen says, "That is either an odd compliment or a strange confession." Stephen continues the monologue. From what Trump said, it sounds like he and the Queen Brand Visible hit it off. In Trump's voice, Stephen brags about winning the election and having better TV Brand Mention ratings than Arnold Schwarzenegger. In his Trump voice, Stephen says, "You're easy to talk Industry Related (2) at, Liz. I like you." Morgan asked Trump if Prince Charles persuaded him on the merits of Alcohol Reference climate change. Trump says that Charles is into climate change and he thinks that's great. Political Stephen says, "He's 'into it?' It's a global crisis, not kombucha." Trump also likes Charles's Historical Reference passion for future generations. In his Trump voice, Stephen says, "Why would a prince or any Environmental leader care about the people of his country? Is he trying to sound like a climate-branded vodka?" Trump then expressed doubts about climate change, saying we're getting tornado binges. Stephen jokes, "Who hasn't gone out for a few tornadoes and woken up hungover." Morgan asked Trump about avoiding military service. Trump calls Vietnam a terrible war that was really far away. Stephen says, "Yes, that's what's horrible about war. The commute. There's a reason the Army doesn't have ads saying, 'Any hot wars in your area?'" Morgan asked Trump if he'd like to have a 3,000-year bloodline, which Stephen points out everyone has. Trump's answer was even dumber, saying he doesn't know what he'd be doing for the rest of the time. Stephen says, "Here's a hint: Does the words 'dirt nap' mean anything to you?" Stephen continues the monologue. Morgan finished by giving Trump a hat in the style of the Industry Related (2) ones that Winston Churchill used to wear. Trump said he likes it, but Stephen doesn't believe Political it because he's terrible at faking it. Trump tried on the hat. Stephen thinks he looks like the Celebrity Reference secret portrait in Pharrell's attic. Stephen introduces "Keep in Mind: Everyone's Fine." Historical Reference Yesterday a 74-year-old woman tripped and was unable to walk, so she was airlifted to a Physical Illness hospital. Stephen shows the footage, in which the woman spins out of control as she's lifted. "What is happening? Did they tie her to the rotors?" She's fine. The fire captain said she suffered no ill effects from the spin, other than being dizzy. The captain claims to have made eye contact with her while she was spinning, which Stephen doesn't find possible. Break 1 @ 15:00 Stephen asks Jon who is joining in the band tonight. Jon introduces Jaron Lanier, who Brand Visible (2) introduces and plays a strange but very old instrument. He says the harmonica was a copy of Brand Mention (3) this instrument. Jaron says back then he predicted that the Internet Industry Related and social media would make the world dark. It's Pride Month, the time of year when we celebrate Political the LGBTQ community, and corporate America celebrates by selling us rainbow Goodyear Historical Reference tires. A group in Boston has sparked outrage by announcing a Straight Pride Parade this summer. The group behind it is called "Super Fun Happy America." Stephen asks if they've seen a Gay Pride Parade because that is super fun. The parade is scheduled for Aug. 31 and will follow the same path. Well maybe not the same path. "Let's start at the Buffalo Wild Wings. Whoa, this place is great. Let's stay here." Smashmouth Tweeted "Straight Pride Parade? (Bleep) off." Smashmouth truly is the Rosa Parks of '90s alt-rock. Stephen puts the Smashmouth Tweet back up so he can follow them, but is surprised they went with "(bleep) off" and not, "Hey now, you're an ass(bleep)." Break 2 @ 25:00 Stephen welcomes host of "The Late Late Show," James Corden. James says he's wearing a Brand Mention vest for himself more than Stephen. He's aware that he's exposed without a desk in front of Industry Related him. "That plus the Spanx is covering a multitude of what is going on under here." Stephen Political asks about Trump being in England. James says that people back in his home country feel the Celebrity Reference same as people do in America. There are those on the far right who like him, and people who Environmental James likes who are like "What are you doing here?" James wonders what Trump could talk Physical Illness to Queen Elizabeth about for an hour and a half. He also doesn't think Trump knows what Brexit is. "Until yesterday he thought it was the most important meal of the day." He commends Prince Charles for going at Trump about climate change, although Stephen notes that it probably didn't have an effect. Stephen asks why Trump touching the Queen's back is a no-no. James says it's just protocol. He has experience with the royal family and admits the protocols are terrifying. In the church at Harry and Meghan's wedding, there were flowers everywhere, which wreaked havoc on James's allergies. All he was thinking was, "Just don't sneeze." James is hosting the Tonys this Sunday, which is his second time hosting. Stephen jokes that he should just give Lin-Manuel Miranda the award right now. James says it's not an easy gig because it's live, but he thinks people in theater should be celebrated because of how difficult their jobs are. Break 3 @ 35:00 Stephen welcomes the star of "X-Men: First Class," "Mad Max: Fury Road," and HBO's "Big Nudity Little Lies," Zoë Kravitz. A clip of "Big Little Lies" shows Zoë's character talking to another Brand Visible character about killing someone. Stephen mentions having her co-star Adam Scott on the Brand Mention (4) show last night. Adam admitted to being intimidated by Meryl Streep on set. Zoë agrees that Language it's strange and feels "like a douchebag" calling her "Meryl," despite the fact that she's a really Celebrity Reference nice person.
