Post-doctoral manager for the focus area "Cultural Heritage", in the framework of the UNA EUROPA European University Alliance, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne –12 place du Panthéon – 75005 Paris Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne is a multidisciplinary university in the field of Human and Social Sciences with more than 43,000 students divided into 10 Training and Research Units (UFR), 4 institutes and 10 doctoral schools in 24 sites. It offers a full range of excellence teaching programmes courses in the fields of law and political science, economics and management, arts and humanities. It has approximately 1,200 professors and research professors and 1,100 administrative and technical staff. Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne is one of the founding universities of UNA Europa which brings together 8 major European universities: Freie Universität Berlin; Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna; Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie; University of Edinburgh; University of Helsinki; KU Leuven; Universidad Complutense de Madrid; Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. UNA Europa is one of the 17 European Alliances selected by the European Commission for a 3 years funding (2019-2021). It is UNA EUROPA’s goal to form a truly European university campus, where excellence in interdisciplinary research is closely connected to transnational learning as well as innovative problem-solving. UNA Europa has defined 4 focus areas, including Cultural Heritage (CP), for the development of inernational mobility, educational and research projects. Several "Joint Innovative Formats" are planned within the area of « Cultural Heritage », such as a Joint Doctorate in Cultural Heritage, PhD workshops, Online Educational Resources, continuous education modules, a Chair in Cultural Heritage, etc. The 4 focus areas are supervised by Self Steering Committees (SSC) that are formed by academics from the 8 universities. Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne is the coordinating institution for the SSC "Cultural Heritage". In this context, Paris 1 is looking for a post-doc coordinator for the SSC "Cultural Heritage" for a period of 3 years. MISSIONS OF THE POST-DOCTORAL COORDINATOR Placed under the administrative authority of the Director Research Departement (DIREVAL) of Paris 1 and under the scientific authority of the Academic Coordinator of the SSC « Cultural Heritage » (SSC CH) of UNA Europa, professor at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the manager of the SSC CH will work in close collaboration with the members of the SSC CH of Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and in relation with the SSC CH of the 7 other universities. His/her main mission is to ensure, under the authority of the SSC CH Scientific Coordinator, the scientific coordination of the SSC CH of UNA Europa for Paris 1, in coordination with the general strategy of UNA Europa. She/he is in regular contact with members of the SSC CH of Paris 1 and with partner universities, as well as with Paris 1 academics working in the field of CH. She/he participates in the meetings of the members of the SSC CH of Paris 1 as well as in those of UNA Europa under the aegis of the SSC CH academic coordinator. She/he is also in contact with UNA Europa stakeholders and in particular with the Secretary General and the Senior External Funding Officer. MAIN ACTIVITIES 1) Structuring and organising the activities of the Paris 1 SSC CH in relation with the doctoral schools and the administrative teams of Paris 1 collaborating in the set up projects (liaising between the Paris 1 doctoral schools related to the CH focus area; organising meetings; drafting and disseminating minutes). 2) Developing consolidation and animation of the doctoral schools network working in the area of CH in Paris 1 in relation with the other 7 universities. 3) Following up the development of the "Joint Innovative Formats" (JIFs) planned in the area of CH under the scientific coordination of the CH SSC coordinator. 4) Participating in drafting the JIFs. 5) Searching for professional and institutional partnerships related to the CH focus area 6) Exploring sponsorship opportunities related to the CH focus area 7) Monitoring projects carried by UNA Europa's SSC CH 8) Coordinating SSC CH reports and communications for 1EUROPE 9) Seeking funding for the UNA Europa Chair in CH 10) Budgetary management and monitoring of obtained funding 11) Capacity to organize academic events KEY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS The candidate must have a solid academic, scientific and if possible professional knowledge in the field of cultural heritage acquired in France or abroad in the framework of a PhD on the field of cultural heritage (in sociology, anthropology, geography, management sciences, etc.). Mastery of the scientific contents in this field is essential for this position. She/he must be fluent in English (C1/C2 level). A good command of a 3rd language among those of the partner universities is highly desirable. Given the important internal coordination activities of the recruiting Institution (Paris 1) but also in relation to the 7 partner universities, the candidate must also have the ability to adapt to foreign partners, negotiation skills, interpersonal and communication skills; piloting, leadership and management skills, dynamism, decision-making ability, responsiveness, team spirit; rigour and organizational skills; very good writing and oral expression skills, ability to synthesize; great availability; mastery of Office software.
