TREE PLANTING APPLICATION CITY OF RACINE, WISCONSIN FORESTRY DIVISION (262) 636-9131 Complete this application and return it by mail or in person to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department in the City Hall Annex, 800 Center Street, Room 127, Racine, WI 53403. Indicate your preference by checking the appropriate box below. Approved applications will either be added to the next tree planting list (spring or fall) or a permit will be mailed to you (which may take up to 6 weeks). I would like to have a tree planted by the forestry division during the next tree planting cycle. I would like a free permit so that I can plant a tree at my expense and convenience (valid for one year). Approved tree planting locations will be marked on the curb with green paint. Permits will indicate what size category (small, medium, or large) of species you can plant. After receiving your permit, refer to the Street Tree Planting Guide to select a species from the appropriate size category, and follow the directions to safely and properly plant your tree. You must contact the Forestry Division after planting your trees. A representative will inspect the trees to ensure they were planted correctly and to add them to the city-wide tree inventory.
